The Alpha Marriage Course
The Alpha Marriage Course is designed for couples who are seeking to intentionally invest in their relationship, or address specific areas in their marriage. Either way, the course offers tools and practical ideas to help you build a relationship that lasts a lifetime. The evening is divided into three parts. First, couples enjoy dessert together. Second, the group watches a video. Third, there is a space provided for couples to engage privately in their own conversations. This enables couples to talk openly and honestly throughout the time they are together. Monday nights from 6:30-8:30pm from October 16 to November 27 |
An Introduction to Child Dedications
Child dedication at Temple acknowledges that children are a heritage from God (Psalm 127:3). It also understands that raising children in faith in Jesus is difficult in our culture. We believe that your church family should support parents in training their children in the ways of Jesus (Proverbs 22:6). We start this partnership of raising children in Jesus through child dedication. Our child dedication process starts with you expressing your desire to raise your children up in faith in Jesus. We then invite you to attend our child dedication class to help you understand what child dedication at Temple means, what you are committing to as a parent of faith, and what Temple is committing to as a community of faith. Saturday, October 28 at 10am in the Chapel |
Baptism at Temple
At Temple, we believe in helping people grow spiritually. Baptism is an especially important part of the journey of a Christ-follower. If you are considering baptism or have questions about baptism, then join us for our next Baptism Class. The class is a great place to find out what baptism means, why we should be baptized, and the difference between infant baptism and adult baptism. The class is open not only to adults but also to any children who are considering baptism. Sunday, October 15 at 9:00am (just before the Sunday service) |
Membership at Temple
At Temple, our purpose is expressed through three big statements. We are a church that wants people to: (1) Love God Passionately, (2) Serve Neighbours Generously, and (3) Grow in Christ Intentionally. We do this by creating spaces where people are inspired and equipped become more like Jesus and live out their lives as his apprentices (disciples). Becoming a member at Temple Baptist Church involves more than simply putting your name on a list. We want you to move beyond participation and into partnership with us. This one morning seminar will provide you with an overview of who we are as a church, what we believe, and ways you can get involved. Saturday, October 28 from 9am-11:30am |
The Good and Beautiful God
We all have ideas that we tell ourselves about God and how he works in our lives. Some are true--but many are false. The path to spiritual transformation begins here.Turning to the Gospels, this study invites you to put your ideas to the test to see if they match up with what Jesus himself reveals about God. This is a deep, loving and transformative study. It will help you discover the narratives that Jesus lived by--to know the Lord he knew and the kingdom he proclaimed--and to practice spiritual exercises that will help you grow in the knowledge of our good and beautiful God. When: Tuesdays from 7:00-8:30pm; runs 10 weeks; starting Sept 26 Where: Temple Baptist Church Cost: One book is needed for the course ($20) |

Following the Sermon on the Mount, this follow-up to The Good and Beautiful God guides us to look behind these character flaws and to replace our false beliefs with Jesus' narratives about life in the kingdom of God. When: Wednesday from 6:30-8:30pm, starting September 27 (runs for 12 Wednesdays). Where: Temple Baptist Church (board room) Cost: One book is needed for the course ($20) Note: This book is a sequel to The Good and Beautiful God.
