Baptism at Temple
Since the beginning of Christianity, baptism has been understood as an integral event in the life of a Christian. Baptism proclaims, in a public way, that a person has experienced the forgiveness of Jesus and desires to walk in obedience to Him. As a church we practice baptism by immersion as an expression of personal faith in Christ.
Are you thinking about getting baptized? Are you wondering if you are ready to take the step? Perhaps you have been meaning to get baptized for a while now but have been putting it off.
Wherever you are at, if you have not yet been baptized, our baptism class is for you! During our time together we will help you find answers to the questions you have about baptism and clear up any mystery about what it is, why it's important and how we do it. This class is also designed to help you prepare for being baptized if you should decide to proceed.
If you're ready to take the next step toward baptism and want to know more about the process, or would like to learn about our beliefs please contact the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Some of the questions we will cover are:
· Where did baptism come from and what does it mean?
· Why is baptism important for a follower of Jesus?
· Why are there so many baptism traditions & why does Temple practice baptism the way it does?
· What is involved in getting baptized at Temple?
