TERRY NORRIS · Lead Pastor
Terry and Dureen Norris are originally from Savannah, Georgia. They have been in St. Charles, Missouri the last 10 years serving at Harvester Christian Church. They are the proud parents of three adult children; Meg (Skaggs), Sara (Akihiro), and Kiley, two grandkids; (Judah and Zeke), and two sons by choice, although not by birth, Isaiah and Elijah. Terry was the pastor of Care and Formations at Harvester Christian Church. Terry has a Master of Arts degree in counseling and served as the director of Lifechange Christian Counseling Center at Compassion Christian Church in Savannah prior to coming to Harvester. In addition to his pastoral role at Harvester, he has been involved in training leaders and pastors through Jesus College and Dallas Willard Ministries as an adjunct teacher of webinars and courses. Dureen served in a ministry called Love the Lou, a Christ-centered inner city outreach in downtown St. Louis. Dureen was also on staff as the Connections pastor at Harvester. They are both graduates of The Merold Institute of Ministry. KATHERINE REYES · Director of Children's Ministry
Katherine joined the Temple staff as Children’s Director in June 2006. Katherine oversees all of our children’s ministry programs (Temple's Tree House, Girls Alive, Sunday School, Plan to Protect and Day Camp). Katherine has a passion for seeing children accept Jesus as their forever friend and helping them grow in their faith. Her spiritual gifts include administration and teaching. Katherine believes that children need to be taught the Word of God but also see Jesus’ love demonstrated in everyday people. JARETT GIBERSON · Director of Student Ministries
Jarett joined the Temple Baptist team in October of 2025 and serves as the Director of Student Ministries. He has a heart for youth and strongly believes in youth discipleship and mentoring as young people are the future of God’s church. Jarett believes in fostering a safe and fun environment as well as support systems that are rooted in the love of God and the Gospel. BETHANY LAWRENCE · Children's Ministry Coordinator
Kids and Jesus have always been a big part of Bethany’s life. Growing up as a “big sister” in a large homeschooled family in rural Lambton County, her childhood was spent assisting her siblings in their school work, entertaining them with stories, and recruiting them to be actors and characters in her handwritten plays. That same love for kids and creativity has led her to most of her educational pursuits: first as a director for a local children’s theatre camp, and later attending Brock University’s Drama and Education program. Bethany came to Temple shortly after marrying her husband Nathan and settling in Petrolia. Since then, she’s been a regular volunteer at Temple's Clubhouse Girls program, taking a year or two off to have two kids of her own - Logan and Evelyn. Now a homeschool mom herself, she is passionate about engaging with children in a real way. GAIL ANN VEGH · Director of Worship Arts
Gail Ann joined the Temple team in January of 2020 and serves as Director of Worship Arts. She is a native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, but had been living in Florida since 2003. Professionally, she has been in office management and church leadership since 1999. Gail Ann’s heart is to set the example that worship is far more than just music, but a lifestyle that we choose to live everyday. SHELLEY MATSSON · Director of Operations
Shelley joined our staff as our part-time Administrative and Office Manager. Shelley is a North American Baptist College alumnus and brings 15 years of valuable administration experience to Temple. She has worked with a technology firm and an academic institution where she operated beside the Vice President and the Dean of Admissions. Both Shelley and her husband Rolf are quite active in our ministry programs. ALYSSON TORQUATO · Office Administrator
Alysson joined the Temple Baptist team in September of 2025 as the new Office Administrator but his story with the Temple family did not start there. Born in Brazil, Alysson and his family moved to Canada in April of 2023, when they went to Temple for the first time. Soon after Alysson got involved in some of the ministries of Temple serving on the worship team, and helping out with the Clothing Drive and Hampers ministries. LEHREND REYES · Facilities Manager
Lehrend joined the Temple team in 2025 as Facilities Manager. He grew up in the Philippines and served as a missionary with Operation Mobilization, which led him to Prairie College in Alberta, where he earned his Bachelor of Ministry and met his wife. Over the years, he has worked in construction, housekeeping, sales, and spent many years supporting people recovering from brain and stroke injuries. He is eager to serve and help others to see God’s work continue. He and Katherine, have three children and a much-loved dog named Moka. email - [email protected] |

GREYCE BORGES · Custodian
Greyce joined the church team in April of 2025. Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Greyce has lived in Sarnia since 2023. She has been married to Saulo for 15 years and they have 2 children, Helena, 9 years old, and Joao, 2 years old. |

TERRY BABBEY · Tech Support
Terry and his wife Glynis have been attending and serving at Temple for over 30 years. They have two children and two granddaughters. Previously, Terry worked in IT for Lambton College. He is excited to see how technology can help further the kingdom.
