Please pray for my son-in-law, Chris, who has been in the hospital since last Thursday with a severe blood/bone infection stemming from a cut on his foot. His fever isn't controlled yet and he is on oxygen when it is elevated and his foot is swollen and red. He is diabetic which complicates matters. It is not known when he may be able to come home and continue his treatment there.

The roof of the church has not been completely repaired, the remaining tiles were used to make a temporary fix, we pray to complete the repairs.
Work continues in the missions and cell groups. We ask for prayers for the new year's plans, for the hydro in the country. This country, has been a long time without electricity, this affects people's lives and attendance at Worships at night.
Yesterday we had the blessing of baptizing 20 new believers. We give glory to God for his faithfulness."

"We are very grateful to God for the support of his church to our family. We thank God because we are already coming out of the viral process that all family members were going through. We also thank God for his care of the passage of Hurricane Melissa through our region because He did not do any damage to us in the house, only some fallen plants. I would like you to continue supporting us in prayer in the process of recovery from the passage of the hurricane because even without harming us, we are without electricity and it is a bit complex with the water issue. Thank you very much for being attentive to us and the support in prayer, thank you very much. Blessings"

"We thank God for his care. Everyone at home suffered from the virus that is hitting Cuba, high fever, joint pain, vomiting and other symptoms. God has lifted us up and delivered us from the disaster of the cyclone. There was some damage, but not that bad.

CUBA UPDATE!
God bless you my dear brothers and friends.
Finally the Hurricane passed and after a night of terror in eastern Cuba, this storm leaves behind many damaged families. Families without houses, without crops, without electricity or drinking water - with little or no food - with entire families suffering the scourges of the various viruses that we have in the country.
As a Church, we are left with intense work to help the most needy families with resources, food and medicine.
Pray for us so that God opens the doors and families can be consoled in eastern Cuba and that the Church can once again give hope to those who lack it.

Viruses are infecting many families but now the worst thing is the hurricane that tomorrow will reach the east of our country. It is a very strong hurricane with little travel speed, which makes it more destructive.
People are in a panic because in the last 100 years something like this has not been seen in the East.
Please pray for Cuba, pray for the east, pray for our families.
The situation is terrible and if Huracán passes it will be much worse.

I am going through a number of things all at once and am having trouble dealing with the stress. My husband is recovering from his third bout of sepsis in a year. I have been dressing an open wound under his arm for over a year because it won't heal. Radiation after cancer surgery has slowed the process to a turtles pace. I am on morphine for my knee (as needed) until my surgery for a replacement next January. It makes me tired and anxious as well. My one son is having his thyroid out later this month because of cancer plus he just had eye surgery to remove a piece of steel from it last week. My other son and his wife have had a change of duties at work and it is very stressful as they have to train new crews and her job has become more difficult. They both work at Bruce Power. Mothers pray for their children but they still worry about the things that affect them in negative ways. My bad pain days make everything more difficult to deal with. Please pray that Jesus will touch the lives of those I love and strengthen me to show His love to them in all these situations.

My son has thyroid cancer. Because he is in seasonal work he has put off surgery until the late fall. The cancer is growing and I am asking you to pray with me in agreement that it would not spread and his surgery would be successful. My husband has also been dealing with an open wound under his arm that we have been treating since last September. It is from previous cancer surgery and needs to be packed and dressed every other day. He has lost a lot of weight and has no appetite so I am concerned about him as well. I pray every day for God's peace in both situations and strength to be handle they daily challenges.

I recently found out that my 25 year old boyfriend's brain tumor became worse and now he has only a few months left. The doctors said the surgery is too risky, saying that there are chances that he might die if it doesn't go well. I don't know the details of the medical things much. We have known each other for more than 2 years and been together for more than 1.5 years. All his life he suffered a lot. His parents struggled a lot when he was a baby to make ends meet. He started doing very menial jobs even when he was still in primary school. He cared for his sister and was always ready to do things for the family. He faced severe bullying for various reasons ever since he started school. Things slowly got better in high school but after school, he faced his past lover's death due to very bad brain cancer at a young age. It took him a lot of time to get over the tragedy. He suffered from depression and I found that he has abandonment issues. He doesn't get sleep often. Even after all this, he never failed to help others and be a kind person. He often teaches high school students for free. He serves the poor whenever he can. He takes care of stray animals whenever he can. He likes dogs a lot. Facing all this, he got a good job and even managed to build a house. It is heartbreaking that he doesn't get to enjoy life that much. I even remember him talking about living till 50 and giving away his life years to his closest ones. He cared a lot. The tumor was found last year and he was supposed to become better but instead it has become bad. They said he only had a few months left. I don't want to believe in their words. I don't know what to ask for in this world. I am just here praying and hoping and wishing. I just wanted to ask for some prayer for him to get better and get to enjoy life. No one deserves to face so many hardships in life. He had dreams too. He wanted to satisfy his parents, arrange marriage for his sister and give me a good life and even have a daughter. I want him to live and experience his phase of happiness. Thank you everyone for taking time to hear me . Please pray for his recovery and a miracle.

The family was together a couple of weeks ago now to celebrate Stu's 90th birthday which was nice for all of them....Stu is the middle of the 5 brothers and is Megan's grandpa...it was good for all of them to finally be together again. Ernie's niece Dale is going to stay with Megan and family for the first week. Dale is a nurse. As many of you know, Ernie's nephew and "his" daughter are both fighting cancer. They flew to Arizona to receive that treatment...Bruce is the dad and has stage 4 prostate cancer, his youngest daughter has stage 2 breast cancer. She is having her surgery done in Toronto. Doctors in TO and also Arizona have been in touch with each other. Megan will be having a mastectomy . Megan has gone to TO for her pre-op tests and scans to have meetings with the Dr's and have seeds implanted in her for surgery, Megan is scheduled for surgery July 16 at North York TO. Her aunt who is a nurse will stay with her the first week so her husband can get back to work again. Bruce (Megan's dad) is back in Arizona after flying home to celebrate Ernie's brother Stu's 90th b'day this week. Bruce flew back to Arizona, Bruce finished chemo and radiation on June 30th, Bruce is getting more IV treatments this week preparing him for his T-cell infusions next week for 3 wks,. We are praying for good results for him. They are hoping to be able to come home between
July 26 and 30th depending on his outcomes. Thank you so much for praying.

An update on Ernie's nephew Bruce and his daughter Meghan....thanking you for praying for them...
Bruce has had a tough time this past week with some bad side effects from the radiation. His digestive system has taken a hit and he has felt quite weak, so he’s been resting a lot when not doing treatment. He has had almost no issues up to this point, so this is new for him. He is on a very restrictive diet to help mitigate these side effects.
Megan continues to struggle with some stomach sickness off and on every week and being very fatigued. She is heading to Toronto on Sunday for two nights. She has two surgeon appointments at North York General Hospital on Monday that she is required to be in person for. There they will also be running some of their own tests. Bruce had a contact in Toronto who was kind enough to connect Megan with a breast surgeon who is coordinating two surgeons to do a single mastectomy and reconstruction in the one surgery. This is an answer to prayer as she didn’t want to have two separate surgeries and now is able to do just the one. Pray that things go smoothly for her trip with these appointments and flights. Katelyn will be picking her up at the airport, staying with her and taking her to her appointments on Monday. She will be given a new surgery date after these appointments, with the surgery date sometime in July.

Just an update on Ernie's nephew and great niece who both were diagnosed with cancer within less then a week of each other. A father and daughter. They flew to Arizona for their treatment and have rented a house for the 4 months of treatment. Megan and Bruce have been receiving treatments 4 or 5 days a week that last anywhere from 1.5 to 4 hrs. Last week Bruce started radiation treatments that take place 5 days a week and will last for 6 weeks.
Bruce’s results are looking promising through his blood work and scans. He had a bit of liver stress from the detox which is to be expected and is having some effects from the hormone blockers. The spots on his liver have cleared up along with the one on his lymph node.
Megan is seeing positive blood work results with very few HER2 positive cells showing up in her blood. Based off the MRI she had last week, the decision to have a mastectomy was also reached. The planning of this is underway with lots of communication between doctors here and doctors back home. The surgery should still take place in July. Megan had a rough week last week with getting her port put back in and treatments hit her a bit harder too, which is to be expected as time goes on.
PTL! They have seen some positive results....I have copied and pasted part of our niece's email she sends each week....thank you to you who have been praying....they will be coming home for a wknd as Ernie's "now" oldest brother turns 90 and they are planning a party...I know the best gifts he will receive is being able to hug Bruce and Megan...thank you to those of you who have been praying for the family. We have seen God's hand at work throughout this ordeal...PTL!

My neighbour 3 houses down has a very friendly dog. I saw Marley running out side and went down to see her. Larry was out throwing a ball.
He told me his wife Heather passed away 3 weeks ago in her sleep from a heart attack. She was 48 . When she didn't show up in the morning for work, they did a wellness check and they found her and Marley was curled up beside her.
Please pray for Larry and the family as the go through this time of grief.

This is the second time I've talked to him. I was shocked when he told me. I kept saying I'm so sorry and my condolences.

Many of you will remember Ernie's brother, Stu, filling in at Temple. Stu was the one that lost his wife to cancer a few years ago. Ernie lost his mom to cancer and his dad remarried. Ernie's step mother Phyllis then died of cancer 2 yrs later and then the oldest of the 5 brothers was Roger who died the week before Christmas that year and now it is striking the next generation....pray for God's real peace that we know can only come from Him and complete healing. They fly to Arizona tomorrow to what is called the best there is in North American for Cancer treatment. They will have to stay there for 3-4 months. Thank you all SO much...

Please pray for healing in my spine. I’ve been diagnosed with anklosing spondylitis. It causes inflammation of the spine. I visited the doctor February 18th and he told me that he couldn’t help me because of my age. He couldn’t prescribe a powerful drug for me. I have numbness from my buttocks into my knees and ankles and into my feet. The bottoms of my feet are swollen and I have to walk with a cane. If I have to walk for a long distance, I have to walk with a walker. I still work full time. I have a very difficult time walking, especially when I’m walking on a slippery surface or a slope. I’ve already fallen several times. I need a miracle.

1. Please pray for our sister-in-law, Deb Deboo, who is undergoing many tests to find out what is causing the swelling of her abdomen and upper legs. They cannot seem to extract fluid as something is continuously plugging up the syringes. One test did show she has cirrhosis of the liver but they don't know if this is what is causing her swelling or if there is a separate cause.
2. Our grandaughters friend, Steph, is a young single mother who has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma and is currently receiving treatment. A few years ago she had a head tumor removed. Her little son is around 5 years old.

My manager Tanya has a mass and multiple tumors found yesterday on her liver, kidney, and uterus. She sees a specialist today. Prayers also for reconciliation to come to my family. Healing broken hearts and pain from my father's abuse as it has rippled in waves of pain for my family and I and now my mom also as my sister and niece have painful withdrawn from her/us because she stands with us and they stand with my dad.
Praise be to God for His strength to carry all of these burdens and His Love will bind it all perfectly.
Praise also for Dean's healing. He has trace cancer cells and the tumors are gone. He has a measure of chemo to take but is strong and healthy again. Back to playing hockey with the retired blues boys and skiing with his wife as a retired person.
Prayers for me as my job at work has been eliminated and although I’m employed, I don’t have hours. I find myself asking God to make clear to me where I belong. Any gifts I may have aren’t clear to me and there are uncertainties in most areas of my life except one. I know my identity and that God is the ground of my being. I’m secure in His Love and yet my faith seems so small. God is showing up through streams of others work and faithful prayer and trust. So I give thanks for this.

I visited with Darryl today at the hospital. He looks good, and is not currently suffering chest pain. They have him all hooked up and drips of medication. He has been given a choice by the Dr.'s: stints or double bypass surgery. He wants stints, the Dr.'s want the surgery. Today he has had an ultrasound and will also have a CAT scan. The test results will determine what's to be done, and he is willing to go with what the Dr.'s say, but he wants as much info as possible, cause he's not crazy about open heart surgery. I just want him to get better.

A new update on my brother Darryl: the decision has been made to go with stints, so no surgery, for now.
That will probably happen tomorrow, and he will be home shortly after that. I'm sure there will be more to the story, but for now it's looking pretty good.

Finally the Hurricane passed and after a night of terror in eastern Cuba, this storm leaves behind many damaged families. Families without houses, without crops, without electricity or drinking water - with little or no food - with entire families suffering the scourges of the various viruses that we have in the country.
As a Church, we are left with intense work to help the most needy families with resources, food and medicine.
Pray for us so that God opens the doors and families can be consoled in eastern Cuba and that the Church can once again give hope to those who lack it.

I am going through a number of things all at once and am having trouble dealing with the stress. My husband is recovering from his third bout of sepsis in a year. I have been dressing an open wound under his arm for over a year because it won't heal. Radiation after cancer surgery has slowed the process to a turtles pace. I am on morphine for my knee (as needed) until my surgery for a replacement next January. It makes me tired and anxious as well. My one son is having his thyroid out later this month because of cancer plus he just had eye surgery to remove a piece of steel from it last week. My other son and his wife have had a change of duties at work and it is very stressful as they have to train new crews and her job has become more difficult. They both work at Bruce Power. Mothers pray for their children but they still worry about the things that affect them in negative ways. My bad pain days make everything more difficult to deal with. Please pray that Jesus will touch the lives of those I love and strengthen me to show His love to them in all these situations.

My son has thyroid cancer. Because he is in seasonal work he has put off surgery until the late fall. The cancer is growing and I am asking you to pray with me in agreement that it would not spread and his surgery would be successful. My husband has also been dealing with an open wound under his arm that we have been treating since last September. It is from previous cancer surgery and needs to be packed and dressed every other day. He has lost a lot of weight and has no appetite so I am concerned about him as well. I pray every day for God's peace in both situations and strength to be handle they daily challenges.

I recently found out that my 25 year old boyfriend's brain tumor became worse and now he has only a few months left. The doctors said the surgery is too risky, saying that there are chances that he might die if it doesn't go well. I don't know the details of the medical things much. We have known each other for more than 2 years and been together for more than 1.5 years. All his life he suffered a lot. His parents struggled a lot when he was a baby to make ends meet. He started doing very menial jobs even when he was still in primary school. He cared for his sister and was always ready to do things for the family. He faced severe bullying for various reasons ever since he started school. Things slowly got better in high school but after school, he faced his past lover's death due to very bad brain cancer at a young age. It took him a lot of time to get over the tragedy. He suffered from depression and I found that he has abandonment issues. He doesn't get sleep often. Even after all this, he never failed to help others and be a kind person. He often teaches high school students for free. He serves the poor whenever he can. He takes care of stray animals whenever he can. He likes dogs a lot. Facing all this, he got a good job and even managed to build a house. It is heartbreaking that he doesn't get to enjoy life that much. I even remember him talking about living till 50 and giving away his life years to his closest ones. He cared a lot. The tumor was found last year and he was supposed to become better but instead it has become bad. They said he only had a few months left. I don't want to believe in their words. I don't know what to ask for in this world. I am just here praying and hoping and wishing. I just wanted to ask for some prayer for him to get better and get to enjoy life. No one deserves to face so many hardships in life. He had dreams too. He wanted to satisfy his parents, arrange marriage for his sister and give me a good life and even have a daughter. I want him to live and experience his phase of happiness. Thank you everyone for taking time to hear me . Please pray for his recovery and a miracle.

She is currently in recovery with her husband and will spend the night in ICU....Sadly her dad isn't doing as well with his cancer. The family was together a couple of weeks ago now to celebrate Stu's 90th birthday which was nice for all of them....Stu is the middle of the 5 brothers and is Megan's grandpa...it was good for all of them to finally be together again. Ernie's niece Dale is going to stay with Megan and family for the first week. Dale is a nurse. As many of you know, Ernie's nephew and "his" daughter are both fighting cancer. They flew to Arizona to receive that treatment...Bruce is the dad and has stage 4 prostate cancer, his youngest daughter has stage 2 breast cancer. She is having her surgery done in Toronto. Doctors in TO and also Arizona have been in touch with each other. Megan will be having a mastectomy . Megan has gone to TO for her pre-op tests and scans to have meetings with the Dr's and have seeds implanted in her for surgery, Megan is scheduled for surgery July 16 at North York TO. Her aunt who is a nurse will stay with her the first week so her husband can get back to work again. Bruce (Megan's dad) is back in Arizona after flying home to celebrate Ernie's brother Stu's 90th b'day this week. Bruce flew back to Arizona, Bruce finished chemo and radiation on June 30th, Bruce is getting more IV treatments this week preparing him for his T-cell infusions next week for 3 wks,. We are praying for good results for him. They are hoping to be able to come home between
July 26 and 30th depending on his outcomes. Thank you so much for praying.

An update on Ernie's nephew Bruce and his daughter Meghan....thanking you for praying for them...
Bruce has had a tough time this past week with some bad side effects from the radiation. His digestive system has taken a hit and he has felt quite weak, so he’s been resting a lot when not doing treatment. He has had almost no issues up to this point, so this is new for him. He is on a very restrictive diet to help mitigate these side effects.
Megan continues to struggle with some stomach sickness off and on every week and being very fatigued. She is heading to Toronto on Sunday for two nights. She has two surgeon appointments at North York General Hospital on Monday that she is required to be in person for. There they will also be running some of their own tests. Bruce had a contact in Toronto who was kind enough to connect Megan with a breast surgeon who is coordinating two surgeons to do a single mastectomy and reconstruction in the one surgery. This is an answer to prayer as she didn’t want to have two separate surgeries and now is able to do just the one. Pray that things go smoothly for her trip with these appointments and flights. Katelyn will be picking her up at the airport, staying with her and taking her to her appointments on Monday. She will be given a new surgery date after these appointments, with the surgery date sometime in July.

Just an update on Ernie's nephew and great niece who both were diagnosed with cancer within less then a week of each other. A father and daughter. They flew to Arizona for their treatment and have rented a house for the 4 months of treatment. Megan and Bruce have been receiving treatments 4 or 5 days a week that last anywhere from 1.5 to 4 hrs. Last week Bruce started radiation treatments that take place 5 days a week and will last for 6 weeks.
Bruce’s results are looking promising through his blood work and scans. He had a bit of liver stress from the detox which is to be expected and is having some effects from the hormone blockers. The spots on his liver have cleared up along with the one on his lymph node.
Megan is seeing positive blood work results with very few HER2 positive cells showing up in her blood. Based off the MRI she had last week, the decision to have a mastectomy was also reached. The planning of this is underway with lots of communication between doctors here and doctors back home. The surgery should still take place in July. Megan had a rough week last week with getting her port put back in and treatments hit her a bit harder too, which is to be expected as time goes on.
PTL! They have seen some positive results....I have copied and pasted part of our niece's email she sends each week....thank you to you who have been praying....they will be coming home for a wknd as Ernie's "now" oldest brother turns 90 and they are planning a party...I know the best gifts he will receive is being able to hug Bruce and Megan...thank you to those of you who have been praying for the family. We have seen God's hand at work throughout this ordeal...PTL!

My neighbour 3 houses down has a very friendly dog. I saw Marley running out side and went down to see her. Larry was out throwing a ball.
He told me his wife Heather passed away 3 weeks ago in her sleep from a heart attack. She was 48 . When she didn't show up in the morning for work, they did a wellness check and they found her and Marley was curled up beside her.
Please pray for Larry and the family as the go through this time of grief.
Guide me in how to help.
This is the second time I've talked to him. I was shocked when he told me. I kept saying I'm so sorry and my condolences.

Many of you will remember Ernie's brother, Stu, filling in at Temple. Stu was the one that lost his wife to cancer a few years ago. Ernie lost his mom to cancer and his dad remarried. Ernie's step mother Phyllis then died of cancer 2 yrs later and then the oldest of the 5 brothers was Roger who died the week before Christmas that year and now it is striking the next generation....pray for God's real peace that we know can only come from Him and complete healing. They fly to Arizona tomorrow to what is called the best there is in North American for Cancer treatment. They will have to stay there for 3-4 months. Thank you all SO much...

Please pray for healing in my spine. I’ve been diagnosed with anklosing spondylitis. It causes inflammation of the spine. I visited the doctor February 18th and he told me that he couldn’t help me because of my age. He couldn’t prescribe a powerful drug for me. I have numbness from my buttocks into my knees and ankles and into my feet. The bottoms of my feet are swollen and I have to walk with a cane. If I have to walk for a long distance, I have to walk with a walker. I still work full time. I have a very difficult time walking, especially when I’m walking on a slippery surface or a slope. I’ve already fallen several times. I need a miracle.

1. Please pray for our sister-in-law, Deb Deboo, who is undergoing many tests to find out what is causing the swelling of her abdomen and upper legs. They cannot seem to extract fluid as something is continuously plugging up the syringes. One test did show she has cirrhosis of the liver but they don't know if this is what is causing her swelling or if there is a separate cause.
2. Our grandaughters friend, Steph, is a young single mother who has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma and is currently receiving treatment. A few years ago she had a head tumor removed. Her little son is around 5 years old.

My manager Tanya has a mass and multiple tumors found yesterday on her liver, kidney, and uterus. She sees a specialist today. I know she yearns to trust God, and I’ve seen Christ in her through the years in her genuine compassion for people. Pray with me that she will be healed and the Lord reveals His love and presence in undoubted ways to her.
Prayers also for reconciliation to come to my family. Healing broken hearts and pain from my father's abuse as it has rippled in waves of pain for my family and I and now my mom also as my sister and niece have painful withdrawn from her/us because she stands with us and they stand with my dad.
Praise be to God for His strength to carry all of these burdens and His Love will bind it all perfectly.
Praise also for Dean's healing. He has trace cancer cells and the tumors are gone. He has a measure of chemo to take but is strong and healthy again. Back to playing hockey with the retired blues boys and skiing with his wife as a retired person.
Prayers for me as my job at work has been eliminated and although I’m employed, I don’t have hours. I find myself asking God to make clear to me where I belong. Any gifts I may have aren’t clear to me and there are uncertainties in most areas of my life except one. I know my identity and that God is the ground of my being. I’m secure in His Love and yet my faith seems so small. God is showing up through streams of others work and faithful prayer and trust. So I give thanks for this.

I visited with Darryl today at the hospital. He looks good, and is not currently suffering chest pain. They have him all hooked up and drips of medication. He has been given a choice by the Dr.'s: stints or double bypass surgery. He wants stints, the Dr.'s want the surgery. Today he has had an ultrasound and will also have a CAT scan. The test results will determine what's to be done, and he is willing to go with what the Dr.'s say, but he wants as much info as possible, cause he's not crazy about open heart surgery. I just want him to get better.

That will probably happen tomorrow, and he will be home shortly after that. I'm sure there will be more to the story, but for now it's looking pretty good.

My brother has decided to go with the surgery after discussions with his team of Dr.'s. The surgery is scheduled for Friday, Jan 10th, and will required 15 days in hospital in recovery. Hoping for a positive outcome and speedy recovery. Thank-you

My sister recently lost her 18 year old son to a very sudden and devastating case of meningitis. Please pray that through this very painful loss God's power and glory will eventually be seen. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will overwhelm my sisters and their children and cause transformative healing in their hearts and minds. Please also pray that provisions will be made financially, as the death occurred out of province and requires transportation expenses to bring him home for burial.
