Fall is a time of new beginnings. Our church is going through a time of growth and change. What an exciting time it is! As we experiment with two services, we encourage you to make an effort to connect with other women. Say good morning. Smile. Step out of your comfort zone and be the one to approach someone you have not yet met. Don’t stand on the sidelines waiting for someone to approach you. Go on a friend hunt. A friend hunt is when you look around for someone else who needs a friend just as much as you do. There will a new friend waiting to be found, and honestly, ‘friend hunts’ can lead you to the best of friends. One of my dearest friends came into my life as the result of a ‘friend hunt’ that I went on with my children. There is always someone just like you needing a friend. Invite them over for tea, or - if you hate entertaining - invite them to the coffee shop. Send someone a note of encouragement. If you know of someone who is going through a difficult time, pick up the phone. Send a card. Drop off a meal or muffins. And, if you are a horrible cook like me, give them a gift card. Bless them with love and support. We were born to make manifest the glory of God. Let’s let our love for God shine through our lives to touch and encourage one another.
Just imagine, if we all began to love and encourage one another. If we set aside our judging, our pride, our insecurities and took a step forward, reaching out to one another … imagine! God would be able to do amazing things in us and through us…in spite of us. Let’s go! Let’s grow. Let’s be the women God intended us to be. New beginnings!
Our prayer is that women will be strengthened in their faith, encouraged, and comforted through this ministry. Many women attend church with us Sunday after Sunday, but do not feel connected. We want all women to feel welcomed, loved and grow into a deeper relationship with Jesus. Check into our website often to keep in touch. We look forward to a great time of connecting with one another and growing together in Jesus through these events. If you have any concerns or needs, please contact Ann at 519-312-5576 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Women’s Ministry team is prayerfully considering the needs expressed by the women at Temple for future programs and events. If you are interested in becoming involved in helping with this ministry, please feel free to leave a note in mailbox #349 or email us at email@example.com . If you have any questions or concerns, you can speak to Ann McLean at 519-312-5576.
