Connecting Women to Jesus and One Another
New Year! New beginnings! As we enter 2019, our hearts are filled with hopeful anticipation for the future. We have set many goals, ready to make earth shattering changes in our lives, achieving dreams that have as of yet been unfulfilled. We make unrealistic resolutions for successful weight loss triumphs. We will no longer eat potato chips, drink soda, eat candy or cookies ever!! We will fill our fridges with prepared veggies; our healthy meals will be planned and prepared as never before. We have joined weekly exercise programs that we will absolutely attend without fail. We will declutter our homes with amazing and ruthless organizational skills from all we have learned by watching experts on YouTube. Anyone who drops in will walk into a spotless home filled with peace and serenity. Any drawer or closet can be opened to reveal cute little organizational boxes etc. We will have our calendars always up to date. We will journal every single day. We will use the new bullet journal to fix our lives. We will entertain more often. We will bake everything from scratch. And of course, most importantly, we will be on our knees in prayer at dawn and our time in God’s word will be disciplined like never before. We will be the embodiment of the Proverbs 31 woman. Oh and did I forget to mention that we will do all this in quietness, with a gentle smile and a look of peaceful serenity on our face, no matter what drama may surround us. Now, back to reality!
Perhaps even as you read this, you have had some challenges in embracing and drawing these unrealistic goals and dreams into reality. The truth is this, life happens. Things do not always go as we plan. The good news is that God loves us just as we are…messy homes, messy lives, clutter and perhaps a few or more pounds overweight, which by the way just means there is more of us to love which can be a good thing! We have the privilege of walking alongside one another through the unrealistic goals, broken dreams, the joys and sorrows, the weight loss, the weight gain, potato chips and cookies in hand. Let’s laugh, pray and serve together. Let’s shine together as a light for Christ in our homes, our church and our community in 2019! May this be the year that the women at Temple come together, making a difference for Christ. I encourage you to get into His Word and study together. Let’s dig deeper and lean into His love, His grace and His mercy like never before. God loves us exceedingly, abundantly, beyond anything we could ever imagine. He is the friend of all women!! He loves every single one of us, no matter how messy our lives or homes may be. He does not care how thin or beautiful we are or whether we can serve dinner off our kitchen floor because it is so spotless. What He loves to see, is us loving and serving Him with our whole hearts. He rejoices to see us loving one another as He intended it to be. These goals are realistic and He will walk with us, guiding us along the way if we keep our focus on Him. Let us love well, because He loves us! Just imagine, if we set aside our judging, our pride, our insecurities and took a step forward, reaching out to one another … imagine! God would be able to do amazing things in us and through us…in spite of us. Let’s go! Let’s grow. Let’s be the women God intended us to be. New beginnings!
Our prayer is that women will be strengthened in their faith, encouraged, and comforted through this ministry. Many women attend church with us Sunday after Sunday, but do not feel connected. We want all women to feel welcomed, loved and grow into a deeper relationship with Jesus. Check into our website often to keep in touch. We look forward to a great time of connecting with one another and growing together in Jesus through these events. If you have any concerns or needs, please contact Ann at 519-312-5576 or send an email to email@example.com.

"Interruptions. They're aggravating. Sometimes infuriating. But how we handle interruptions actually tell us more about ourselves. What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run! Priscilla redefines interruption and shows that interruption is actually God's invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city."
"Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted" by Priscilla Shirer. Facilitated by Maureen O'Neil. April 4 through to May 9 on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00.
